The owner of the house:  

Lars Åkesson is a Swedish citizen and grown up in the southern part of Sweden, Skåne.  After education and a few years experience in the bank, he signed up for the luxery cruising ship m/s Stella Polaris as Chief Purser in 1962.   Three years later he was employed by the worldwide construction company Skanska as Administration Manager with assignments in Sri Lanka, Bangla Desh and Tanzania.  In 1976 he moved to Sweden together with his family and took up an appointment as Personnel Manager in the international division of Skanska. After 10 years it was time to move out in the world again. This time to the far east Bangkok, Thailand and China. At the end of his career he was employed in Zimbabwe as the Administration Manager, where Skanska built many large projects.  In the middle of 2000 he retired as an employee of Skanska and is since then living in Portugal.
